Want something with an authentic “Old World” flavor that has a snap, well then you have picked the right sausage! Bobak’s Smoked Polish is what put us on the map since our beginnings in 1967. This sausage starts with fresh, never frozen, cuts of pork and is slowly smoked over real hardwoods. Delicious on its own with a natural casing, but equally as perfect for any recipe you have at hand!
MICROWAVE: Place ring in a shallow microwave safe dish. Add ½ inch of water. Cover. Microwave for approximately five minutes. Remove, pour off water and let stand two minutes before serving. (Since microwave ovens vary, cooking times are approximate.)
GRILLING: To avoid splitting open, place ring on foil with small amount of water until heated through. Remove foil and brown. When not using foil, turn frequently (approximately 10 to 15 minutes). DO NOT PLACE COLD RING DIRECTLY ON HOTTEST SPOT OF GRILL.
PAN FRYING: Place ring in a shallow pan with ½ inch of water and cover. Simmer and turn until heated through (approximately 7 minutes). To brown, pour off remaining water, remove cover, heat at medium until brown, turning occasionally.
Spicy Sausage Kabobs
Bobak's Smoked Polish Sausage Ring
green peppers, sliced
¼ c. spicy brown mustard
¼ c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. soy sauce
2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp. ground ginger
Assemble kabobs on skewers by alternating sausage with vegetables. Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl, use frequently to baste kabobs as cooking; grill or broil for 4 minutes on each side.
